In 2017, BLT shared the very first ePCR from an ambulance to a hospital and a public health information in real-time — between Colorado’s Larkspur Fire Protection District and what is now a multi-state exchange called Contexture. There were several value propositions, including faster and more reliable information transfer at handoff to a reduction in labor costs (from face sheets to faxes).
In the decade since, BLT has collaborated with ImageTrend, First Due, ESO, Zoll emsCharts, Pulsara, and others to ensure that PCRs are accessible — in as little as 30 seconds. BLT helps agencies meet their states’ goal of ensuring that insights from the field are available to the receiving hospital fast enough to impact patient care, avoid errors, and honor patients’ care wishes.
